                Jánošík Stories

Whether it was Robin Hood, William Tell, Stenka Rasin, Jan Sladký Kozina, Davy Crockett or Daniel Boone, every nation has folk

heroes.  Sometimes fictional, sometimes real and sometimes a mix of the two, they help illustrate our nations' histories and cultural values.

Such is the Slovak folk hero named Juraj Jánošík, who lived from 1688-1713, born in a village in the Great Fatra mountains.

Read the stories and see what truths as well an entertainment you may draw from them!
